Join in a night of fun and fantasy with your friend at Natural 20. The theme for this mystery night is a Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones style event. All party goers will receive their character names and description several weeks before the party in their email before hand in order to plan or their costumes for their specific character.
Tickets includes a 3 course prix-fixe dinner with a starter, a choice of prime rib or salmon for the entree with 2 sides, and a dessert to polish off the evening. If you are a mug club member, your first two drinks are included in your ticket price.
Prizes will be given for Best Acted, Best Costume, and a pot of $50 in gift coins will go to the Murderer if they get away with it. If not, the person or people who guess correctly get to split it. Plus, there is always one secret prize for things like "Most suspicious" (aka the most voted as the murderer but didn't do it) or "The most enthusiastic" or something relating to the theme of the mystery.
Please note that costumes are required and all guests must be age 21 and up to attend this event. For safety, all weapons must be fake (wood, plastic, foam) and shoes are required for costumes that might say your character is bare foot.
Are you interested? Heres some insite into the realm and the events that have taken place before the event is set to begin:
On the Isle of Abinark, the Kingdom of Hydrock has been established to bring peace to the land following The Great Battle. The Hydrock Pact decrees that all ten clans who belong to the Kingdom shall inherit a designated realm wherein each can live according to their own traditions and customs. The Kingdom is governed from Hydrock Castle which sits atop St. Clyston’s Mount at the very heart of Hydrock; this is now the seat of King William Alexander John Vixsor, ‘The Claret King’, and his clan, The Vixsor.
Eight realms radiate outwards from St. Clyston’s Mount, each belonging to a separate Hydrock clan. The final realm, grassy plains that encircles Hydrock known as The Ringlands, is home to The Mare – a deadly clan of centaurs that are Hydrock’s first line of defence against the encroaching Kingdoms beyond.
The Hydrock Council meets regularly to discuss Hydrock matters and ensure that the fragile peace that exists between the clans remains intact. The ten strong council consists of the King and the leader of each of the other nine clans. Under special circumstances, others are invited to council meetings when specific skills and expertise are required; these subjects are drawn from the King’s court and each clan.
Why do you need to know all of this? Well, Lefqwen of Abinark, the leader of The Mare, has failed to attend this evening’s Hydrock Council meeting. Her absence, punishable by death, will test the fragile bonds that exist between those present at tonight’s meeting, and that is where our game begins...
